What we believe

We believe the bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God. We believe in the Trinity that is, One God in three persons; The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ lived a life free of sin. That He physically died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He physically rose again to life on the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
We put an
emphasis on a verse by verse teaching and application of the scriptures. We place a high priority on staying within the context of each passage, so as to not distort God's word with our own agenda, but to allow God's Word to change the way WE think (Romans 12:2.) We spend time learning the historical context through studying the meaning of the words used in scripture according to the original language it was written in. We believe that in doing so, we are more equipped to capture a deeper understanding of the Truth that is actually being given, and furthermore, taught in God's Word.
We believe that by believing in Christ and surrendering to Him as our Lord and Savior that God the Father has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the first-born over all creation. (Colossians 1:13-14)

Our Mission

At Calvary Chapel of the Palouse it is our mission to dig deeper into God's word that we may know Christ and to make Him known. To share the message of God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, to our community and neighbors. We believe in the verse by verse reading, study, and application of the Bible, as the infallible Word of God to men. Therefore, our goal is to live and give God's word as we are transformed into the image Of His Son, through the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. We strive to love the broken, give hope to the hopeless, and magnify the glory of our gracious redeemer and healer, Jesus Christ.

Hello, my name is Chad Willliams. I first came to know the Lord when I was 14. I was on fire for the Lord, but with time my fire was dampened by the world. I used to believe that if I turned my back on the Lord then he would turn His back on me. So I let myself try to take charge of my own life. Through a series of unfortunate events, caused by my own choices, I fell far  away from the loving Lord I had once loved. Then in 2011 I found peace in the faithful hands of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Calvary Chapel Salmon. I learned that He hadn't turned His back on me, and that i was just repentance away from His everlasting love and grace.
My family and I moved from Salmon Idaho, where I served at the Calvary Chapel there. First as an usher, then I began attending and helping with the recovery group for addicts, and eventually I began teaching as a youth leader, then as a fill in for Wednesday night bible study. I met my wife through mutual friends at Calvary Chapel Salmon and after a short period of time we were married and starting to grow our family.
In 2016, we visited Coeur d’Alene, and we both felt a calling from the Lord to move. We stepped out in faith and sold our home in Salmon, and moved to North Idaho. When we were ready to buy a house again, we ended up in Tekoa, WA and had heard about Calvary Chapel of the Palouse From a friend. When we attended for the first time, it quickly felt like home. The Pastor at the time, Dave Caudle, embraced us as a fellow brother and sister in Christ and we quickly started serving in the Church. We served at CCOP for a couple years. During those years I learned to play guitar and fell in love with playing music for the Lord. We spent a brief year or so away, from CCOP, serving in our local community and when we came back to Calvary, Pastor Dave handed me a guitar, asked me to play for worship and it was like I'd never left at all. Later that day, Dave let me know he was retiring asked me to take his place as the Senior Pastor.
Now, I am a bi-vocational Pastor at CCOP. I work full time during the week, for the Worley Highway District, as a heavy equipment operator. Then I'm here at the church every Sunday and Thursday. I have found that I really enjoy getting to study God's word, give God's message, and hang out with God's people.
