Grace Mountain Rach is a subsidiary ministry of Calvary Chapel of the Palouse. It is a 40-acre site located in Beneway county, 5 miles southwest of Tensed, Idaho. Purchased in 2005, the facility will be constructed in several phases as the Lord allows. Our final goal is to have a fully self-sustaining ranch that will include housing for both married and single men and women, an orphanage for as many children as the Lord allows and a full service conference center and pastor's retreat.
Phase 1: Phase 1 included brush removal and carving out the first set of roads needed for the initial construction efforts. The septic systems and drain fields were also completed in 2007.
Phase 2: Phase 2 was the construction of the Chapel. The first building on the property that will serve as one of the main meeting areas for the men living on the property. While the chapel had the finishing touches put on in the summer of 2008, Pastor Dave inaugurated the building with a wedding in the spring of that year.
Phase 3: Pole building, cook shack and bathroom/shower shack! As of fall, 2009 we are have broke ground on the cook shack (retaining all and footings) and have put the roof on the pole building. The pole building will serve as a garage and storage building and also as a teaching room for men who would like to learn mechanics and wood-working.
Phase 4 and Beyond: There are many other buildings and projects that will be coming up. Keep checking back for updates and new pictures.
